On this beautiful item you may see Angel Michael Mandamado. This holy picture comes from the homonymous Monastery in Lesvos Island. The original picture, being origin of numerous miracles, was created by monk Gabriel that survived from pirates entered in the Monastery and killed all monks but him. Pirates run after him, but Angel Michael appeared, they abandoned their weapons and stolen booty and fled panic-stricken. After the event, monk Gabriel took the sand and the blood of the killed monks and created the picture of the Angel that visited him.
